Bhopal, April 22 -- After much controversy, the BJP has on Sunday finally declared its Lok Sabha candidate for Indore. Former Indore Development Authority (IDA) Shankar Lalwani has been fielded against Congress' Pankaj Sanghvi.

With the candidature of Lalwani, it has become official that political career of Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan's has come to an end.

It was widely speculated that the BJP which has denied ticket to various BJP leaders could also deny the same to Mahajan fondly known as Taai on age factor. Taai has turned 76 on April 12.
