KEONJHAR, March 6 -- On Thursday, a meeting was held here for claiming GI (Geographical Indicator) tags to Badi in the name of Keonjhar for which the district is traditionally famous and Keonjhar district's Anandpur Paper Pachy, the art of paper toys made from paper dusts.
The meeting was presided over by Dr Udhab Charan Majhi, PD, DRDA, Keonjhar. Sapan Goswami, PD, District Living Mission; Dr Sushanta Kumar Rout, Scientist, Department of Science and Technology; Sanjiv Kumar Barik, DIPRO, members of different SHGs, experts and research scholars attended the meeting. The meeting decided to prepare documents and other requirements to process claim for GI tags.
