India, April 25 -- A new coast guard vessel -C-441-was commissioned at the Vizhinjam Harbour by the chief secretary of the Government of Kerala, Tom Jose. He commissioned the ship into the series in a ceremonial function hosted under the aegis of the Regional Commander Western Region, Inspector General Vijay D Chafekar, PTM, TM. The function was witnessed by senior officers from the Army, Navy, Air Force, BSF, police, Airport Authority of India, Central and state authorities and the National Cadet Corps. It was conducted with full ceremony of parading the guard and the band.
