Ujjain, Sept. 23 -- The Economic Offence Wing registered two cases in corruption case in Balaram pond construction scheme in Dewas district in which the officers and employees of the Agriculture Department, District Dewas colluded to obtain Rs 2.92 crore for the period 2011 to 2015.
Superintendent of Police Dilip Soni of Economic Crime Cell Unit Ujjain said that on primary physical verification, a total of 361 Balaram ponds were not found to be constructed in the development block of Kokhurd, Sonkach and Vikas block in Dewas district, while the grant money of the said 361 ponds was disbursed to the beneficiaries.
