NEW DELHI, Sept. 9 -- In order to fulfil the dream of a student coming from economically weaker sections (EWS), a Delhi family has decided to sponsor the education of a Dalit student Vijay Kumar who qualified the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) and entered the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT-Delhi) with the help of Delhi Government's Jai Bheem free coahing scheme.

The Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday said a family from Defence Colony has come forward to help the 16-year-old Vijay Kumar in completing his study by bearing the total cost of his education. Kumar's father is a tailor and mother a homemaker.
