Ranchi, Jan. 15 -- Chief Secretary Dr DK Tiwari has instructed to expedite the works for Kanhar Barrage meant for irrigation of farm land in Garhwa and Palamu district of the State. Reviewing the works of the project here on Tuesday the CS fixed time limit of all preliminary works of the barrage and instructed the officials to execute the works in the set time frame.
At the same time, the Chief Engineers of Water Resources Department of Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand were instructed to jointly clarify the ownership status of the land on the border of the two states by February 28 and submit a joint report.
