RAIPUR, April 9 -- The government of Chhattisgarh on Wednesday constituted an empowered committee of senior secretary-level officials to coordinate and monitor the work of the state disaster management authority to combat the spread of coronavirus outbreak.
State chief secretary and chairman of state executive committee, revenue and disaster management authority RP Mandal issued an order under the provisions of the Disaster Management Act, 2005 to constitute the empowered committee, an official release said.
As per the order, the committee chairman will be state additional chief secretary to the chief minister Subrato Sahoo.
