Dehradun, Nov. 29 -- In protest against what it termed anti farmer Farm laws and the misbehaviour done with the agitating farmers in Delhi and Haryana by police the Uttarakhand Congress held a protest here on Saturday. The ptparty also burned an effigy of the union government as a mark of the protest. Addressing the party workers at the Rajiv Bhawan, the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) President Pritam Singh said that by passing the farm bills in the parliament, the Narendra Modi government has proved that it is more concerned about protecting the interests of capitalists and apathetic towards farmers.
