RAIPUR, Feb. 25 -- Sounding a warning over a renewed rise in Covid-19 cases, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Wednesday called for strictness while following measures to contain Covid infection in the state.

Addressing a high-level meeting in his office in the Assembly premises, Baghel said that strict compliance of the guidelines for prevention of coronavirus should be ensured.

He said there has been a sharp rise in the number of Covid cases in Maharashtra and Delhi and said Collectors of all districts should be told hold tests at the airports and inter-state borders, particularly with Maharashtra.

Covid-19 tests should also be made in hospitals and those not wearing masks in public places should be fined, he said.
