RAIPUR, June 12 -- Amid escalating protests against Adani Enterprises Limited at Bailadila hill's iron ore deposit no-13 in Dantewada district, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Tuesday announced to immediately halt deforestation in affected area at village Hiroli.
State Government said that proper action would be taken after checking illegal cutting of trees. It also said that it would investigate complaints received against the Gram Sabha which gave its consent for the project at its meeting held in year 2014.
