Lucknow, Oct. 24 -- The Election Commission has made elaborate preparations for the counting of votes on Thursday for the bypolls held for 11 assembly seats on October 21.
The results will pave the way for political parties to plan their strategies before the 2022 UP assembly elections.
The counting of votes will commence at 8 am under tight security and the results are expected by Thursday afternoon.
Election Commission officials here said on Wednesday that all preparations for smooth conduct of the counting had been completed. The counting will commence with postal ballots and thereafter 14 electronic voting machines (EVMs) would be taken up in each round to complete the process.
