BALESWAR, June 12 -- The Vigilance police on Tuesday raided the office and residences of District Assistant Statistical Officer Parameswar Rout on the charges of acquisition and possession of property disproportionate to his known sources of income.
Vigilance teams conducted raids simultaneously at four places, including his residences at Rameshwar Nagar and Saraswatipur, office at Baleswar and ancestral house at Basudevpur in Bhadrak district. The total assets of Rout and his family members were calculated as more than Rs 71 lakh.
