Chandigarh, Sept. 12 -- Ahead of the Assembly elections, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Wednesday made a series of announcements to woo the electorate at the last moment.
Addressing a news conference, Khattar launched two schemes named Chief Minister's Vyapari Nidhi Durghatna Bima Yogana and Chief Minister's Vyapari Kshatipurti Yojana for traders who are paying Goods and Services Tax (GST).
Under the Chief Minister's Vyapari Nidhi Durghatna Bima Yogana, around four lakh medium class traders would be covered. Under Chief Minister's Vyapari Kshatipurti Yojana, traders would be paid from Rs 5 lakh to 25 lakh of their damaged goods due to theft, accident, fire and other natural disasters.
