RAIPUR, June 11 -- Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Monday claimed that the approval of 'Consent to Operate' iron ore block no 13 in Bailadila to Adani Enterprises Limited (AEL) was not given by his government.

He said that it was the decision of previous BJP government and since the subject was not brought before the new government, the department carried out old orders.

He was talking to reporters at Swami Vivekananda Airport Raipur after returning from Delhi on Monday.

"The first thing I want to ask Raman Singh is he in favour of providing MDO (mine developers and operators) to Adani or not? Secondly, the government officials follow the old orders until new decision is taken. So, the department has just carried out the decision taken ...
