BHUBANESWAR, Aug. 25 -- The Gantantra Surakshya Abhiyan (GSA) organised a meeting on 'Trends of Fascism in India and How to counter it' here on Saturday.

Addressing the meeting held at the Nagabhushan Bhawan, former MLA and CPI leader Narayan Reddy said that the BJP Government at the Centre has adopted policies of anti-democratic, communal and anti-socialism to make India a religion-based fundamentalist country.

Stating that the Government is taking the people of the country on the path of capitalism, Reddy said that the Government's interference has hampered the functioning and management of the institutions like Election Commission, Defence, CBI, RBI, CAG, CVC, UGC, ICSSAR, ICHR and RTI.
