MANILA, Feb. 1 -- A huge part of the country will continue to experience rain showers due to the shear line and the northeast monsoon or "amihan", the weather bureau said Wednesday.

In its 4 a.m. bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the shear line will prevail over Eastern Visayas and Caraga.

Rains due to the northeast monsoon will be experienced over Cagayan Valley, Aurora, Quezon, and the Bicol Region.

These areas may experience flash floods or landslides due to moderate to heavy rains, PAGASA said.

The northeast monsoon will also cause light rains over the rest of Luzon and the Visayas.
