Manila, Feb. 19 -- Activities for the annual alumni homecoming of the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) in Fort del Pilar, Baguio City will not be open to the public.

"It will push through on February 22, however, it will be a private gathering of the alumni and their immediate families. Our apologies if it will not be opened for the media and the general public," PMA spokesperson, Capt. Cheryl Tindog said in a message to reporters late Tuesday.

This is part of the overall efforts to contain the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19), which has killed over 1,000 in China and has affected other countries.

"And as much as possible, we are limiting the crowds from going inside Fort del Pilar," she added.
