Manila, Oct. 10 -- The Commission on Human Rights (CHR) regional office here will help authorities in the ongoing investigation on the killing of Vice Mayor Charlie Yuson III of Batuan, Masbate in Sampaloc, Manila on Wednesday.
Lawyer Arlene Alangco, CHR regional director, on Thursday, condemned the killing and condoled with the family of the slain vice mayor.
"We commit to working with the law enforcement agencies as we conduct our own investigation in our area of jurisdiction. We sympathize and send our condolences to the bereaved family of Vice Mayor Yuson and pray for the resolution of the case," she said in a statement.
