Manila, Sept. 18 -- After five years of scouring the mountains of Agusan del Norte fighting the government, a ranking leader of the communist New People's Army (NPA) decided to return to the fold of the law on Thursday (Sept. 17). Lt. Col. Julius Cesar C. Paulo, commander of the Army's 23rd Infantry Battalion, said the rebel, who goes by the aliases "Dansoy" and "Kevin", surrendered to their headquarters Thursday afternoon in Barangay Alubihid, Buenavista town.
