Bhubaneswar, Sept. 21 -- The Odisha Human Rights Commission (OHRC) has raised questions on State government's decision to relax enforcement of new traffic rules for three months.

In a letter, OHRC has claimed that the 'liberty granted by the government is being misutilized as a license by habitual law breakers creating a free for all situation on the road endangering the life and property of law abiding citizens, drivers and pedestrians.'

The OHRC also mentioned that some people are bent upon not to abide by law and are obstructing officials from discharging the duties.

The Commission has asked for cooperation of the Deputy Commissioners of Police (Traffic), Bhubaneswar-Cuttack and Regional Transport Officers on the following points:
