Bhubaneswar, Sept. 17 -- Odisha government will enforce a complete ban on plastic from Gandhi Jayanti on October 2. Single-use plastic products will be banned in all NACs, municipalities and Municipal Corporation limits across the State, informed State Forests and Environment Minister, Bikram Keshari Arukh on Tuesday.

"As per the 5Ts initiative of the Odisha CM, we are going to ban single-use plastics including water bottles, carry bags and other items from October 2," said Arukh.

Arukh further stated that the government on September 12 has sought suggestions and objections from people within 15 days.
