Bhubaneswar, Jan. 1 -- In a shocking incident of domestic violence, a man allegedly beat his wife to death following a family dispute in Khuntipani village under Hemgir police station in Sundargarh district.

According to sources, the accused has been identified as Makul Dhanuar, while the deceased woman is his wife, Pushpa Dhanuar. The incident reportedly occurred after a quarrel between the couple over family-related issues.

Makul Dhanuar, along with his wife and other family members, had gone to the Hemgir weekly market on Wednesday. While returning home, an argument broke out between the husband and wife, which soon escalated into a heated altercation.
