Bhubaneswar, Aug. 25 -- Contrary to reports published in a section of media, the Odia CISF (Central Industrial Security Force) officer, who recently hit headlines and became an overnight sensation after stopping Bollywood actor Salman Khan at Mumbai airport for a mandatory security check-up, did not face any trouble for diligently discharging his duty. Rather he has been 'suitably awarded' for his work.

The CISF has clarified that the young officer, Somnath Mohanty, who asked actor Khan to follow security protocol at the Mumbai airport, has not been reprimanded. CISF DG has presented Mohanty cash award of Rs 5,000 and a citation for his 'exemplary professionalism'.
