Bhubaneswar, Jan. 19 -- Bhubaneswar: A day after his appointment as the vice chief of Indian Army, Lt General Chandi Prasad Mohanty, the first Odia officer to adorn the top post, on Tuesday said that he would make efforts to entice more Odia youths to the Indian Army.

"It is a coincidence that I arrived at my home land a day after I was appointed as the vice chief of the Army staff. I will try my best to do something for Odisha as the second in command of the Indian Army. I will also take every possible measure to induct more Odia youths into the Indian army," Mohanty told newsmen soon after landing at Bhubaneswar Airport on a special chopper.
