Bhubaneswar, Aug. 17 -- With the solar insolation being measured at around 1100 watt per square metre in some places in Ganjam and Rayagada districts, and the humidity there were estimated at over 90 per cent, the prediction is lightning activities may occur in the said districts today.
A study of IMD and Skymet weather analysis shows that the places like Bhanjanagar in Ganjam, Gunupur in Rayagada districts in the State may experience lightning spell today.
Moreover, as the Monsoon is active in Odisha today, rain has been predicted at isolated places in districts like Ganjam, Bolangir, Rayagada, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Sambalpur and Mayurbhanj. Rain has also been predicted for the Bhubaneswar city today.
