Bhubaneswar, Jan. 10 -- The health authorities on Saturday launched a detailed investigation following reports of a jaundice outbreak in the Nua Dokanda area under Kanas block of Puri district. The incident came to light after several residents reportedly exhibited symptoms associated with jaundice, prompting immediate action from the health department.

A team from the District Public Health Department visited the affected locality to assess the situation on the ground. The team conducted a preliminary survey to evaluate the spread of the illness and interacted with local residents to gather first-hand information regarding symptoms, water sources, and sanitation conditions in the area.
