Bhubaneswar, Aug. 6 -- In a rare surgery, the first gum grafting of a woman patient, who was infected with black fungus, has been performed successfully at the SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack.

As per reports, the woman had lost his teeth and gum due to black fungus infection. She was not able to take food properly and her face was distorted. Subsequently, she was admitted to the hospital.

In a first gum grafting surgery following black fungus infection, a team of four doctors led by doctor Bibhuti Nayak conducted the surgery successfully and the gums of the patient were grafted successfully. After a complex surgery of over seven hours, the doctors were able to graft the gums properly.
