Bhubaneswar, Oct. 29 -- Bonai: Panic gripped the residents of Kadadiha under Koida range here after a herd 22 elephants strayed into the area and continues to wreak havoc since the last three days.

According to sources, the jumbos have damaged acres of paddy crops in the area.

Being informed about the incident, Forest department officials reached the spot and have launched a massive operation to drive the elephants back into the forest.
