Bhubaneswar, Dec. 18 -- In a tragic incident, an elderly woman died after being allegedly assaulted while trying to resolve a family dispute at Odisho village in Jagatsinghpur district on Wednesday.

The victim has been identified as 55-year-old Sabita Biswal.

According to reports, a dispute had broken out between Swarnalata Swain and her daughter-in-law, Aishwarya Ray. Sabita Biswal, who was the aunt-in-law of the accused, went to their house to mediate and settle the family quarrel.
