Bhubaneswar, Aug. 8 -- Bolangir: Tension ran high at Bhima Bhoi Medical College and Hospital here after family members of a patient ransacked COVID-19 isolation centre and thrashed a doctor following his death due to alleged medical negligence on Saturday.

According to sources, the doctor sustained serious injuries in the attack and was admitted to the hospital.

"The patient died due to doctor's negligence. Even if he tested COVID-19 negative, the doctor admitted him to the hospital which resulted in his death," a family member of the deceased alleged.
