Bhubaneswar, March 17 -- Bhubaneswar: Amidst chaos following apprehensions over possible shortage of essential commodities after the outbreak of Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) in the State, Odisha government has come up with a clarification urging people not to believe in such rumours.

State Food & Supplies Minister Ranendra Pratap Swain informed that the government is planning to distribute a 3-months advance Public distribution system (PDS) ration to the public. With capital city and other parts of Odisha grappling with a shortage of precautionary equipment, Swain further said the government is looking at increasing the production of masks and sanitisers to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
