Bhubaneswar, June 11 -- Bhubaneswar: The Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRTH) on Friday notified rules which will be mandatory for accredited Drivers Training Centers.

As per an official notification, these rules will come into effect from July 1, 2021. The move will help in imparting proper training and knowledge to candidates who enrol at such centers, a PIB release said.

As per the Ministry, the shortage of skilled drivers is one of the major issues in the Indian roadways sector. A large number of road accidents occur due to lack of knowledge of road regulations.
