Baripada, Jan. 11 -- A local businessman was allegedly robbed off cash worth over Rs 2 lakh in broad daylight near Traffic Chhak in Baripada today. The incident occurred when the businessman was opening his shop.
According to sources, the businessman, identified as Prashant Kumar Sahu left home with cash worth Rs 2.15 lakh in a bag. He had reportedly kept the bag containing the cash down on a pavement and was opening his shop when miscreants allegedly fled with the bag.
Police have launched an investigation into the incident after the businessman filed a complaint.
