Bhubaneswar, May 17 -- Bhubaneswar: In a major crackdown on drug trafficking, a joint team of Quick Action Team (QAT) of Odisha Police and Mancheswar Police seized huge quantity of brown sugar worth over Rs 60 lakh in the Capital City on Monday.

Based on an intelligence input, the QATteam conducted the raid and nabbed two drug peddlers in this connection. Both of them were found to be residents of Jaleswar area in Balasore district. They were running the drug smuggling syndicate on the pretext of selling fish.

During search, brown sugar weighing 518 gram, a Bolero, two mobile phones, Rs 1900 in cash and other incriminating materials were seized from their possession.
