Bhubaneswar, Feb. 9 -- A massive fire broke out at a sack manufacturing factory in the Bardol area of Bargarh district in Odisha on Monday, causing panic among local residents and engulfing the entire vicinity in thick plumes of smoke. The sudden blaze created a tense situation as flames rapidly spread across the factory premises.

According to sources, the fire intensified quickly due to the presence of highly inflammable raw materials stored inside the factory. Firefighters faced an uphill task in controlling the blaze, as strong flames and dense smoke hampered firefighting operations. The intensity of the fire was such that it could be seen from a considerable distance, triggering fear among people living in nearby areas.
