Bhubaneswar, Sept. 6 -- BJP MP Pratap Sarangi today appeared before a special court in connection with cases pertaining to the cremation of a dead body in the year 2004 and his alleged involvement in a protest in 2011. As per reports, the cases against the BJP MP were filed under SC/ST Act.
Calling the allegations baseless, Sarangi today said that he has respect for the law and that's why he decided to appear before the court.
"These cases against me are completely baseless and as the matter is sub-judice we shouldn't discuss about them. Only the complainants can say on what basis they lodged the cases," said Sarangi.
