Bhubaneswar, Feb. 19 -- Amid allegations of irregularities in paddy procurement across Odisha, Chief Minister Mohan Majhi on Thursday issued a stern warning in the State Legislative Assembly, making it clear that the government will not tolerate any malpractice that harms farmers' interests.

Replying to the motion of thanks on the Governor's address, the Chief Minister stated that an entrenched 'ecosystem' developed over the past 24 years of governance continues to remain active. Without naming specific individuals or groups, he cautioned those allegedly attempting to disrupt the paddy procurement process to immediately mend their ways.
