Hong Kong, April 4 -- Jakarta opens its LCCT on 1 May while Nagoya prepares for 20 September launch.

Two low-cost carrier terminals (LCCTs) will open in 2019, one purpose-built and one converted. First is Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta's converted terminal 2F being a LCCT from 1 May, airport operator PT Angkasa Pura (AP) II said. AP II expects the LCCT to be used by 10 LCCs as well as two unnamed airlines from India and China.

Indonesia is prioritising the LCC sector as it targets an increase in overseas visitors. AP II previously said visitors arriving on full-service airlines grew 7% while those using LCCs grew 55%.
