Hong Kong, June 21 -- The Civil Air Navigation Services Organisation (CANSO) announced this week that the deputy director general of the ATM global body, Simon Hocquard, will succeed Jeff Poole as head of CANSO with immediate effect.
Before Hocquard joined CANSO as deputy director general, he worked at the UK's air navigation provider, NATS, for 23 years where the one-time air traffic controller rose to director operations and strategy NATS. His roles have included operations director at Swanwick, Europe's largest air traffic control centre and creating and implementing the business, technical and operations strategy at NATS.
