BOKARO, Jan. 18 -- Jharkhand State Pollution Control Board (JSPCB) on Friday issued show cause notices to nine major health institutions including Bokaro General Hospital (BGH) for violating Bio Medical Waste Management Rules 2016.

JSPCB has issued a notice against those who did not throw bio-medical waste properly. The inspection team of the pollution department found bio-medical waste lying in the garbage heap at many places in the city.

According to sources, in the first phase only 9 institutions have been sent a letter. These are PSUs and private hospitals.
