NAGPUR, Jan. 15 -- Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar filed an affidavit in Nagpur bench of Bombay High Court while replying to the petitions filed against him in the crores of rupees irrigation scam and described the allegations as "malicious".

The NCP leader also said in the affidavit that the investigation of the case need not be handed over to the CBI or ED.

What is the matter The Director General of Maharashtra Anti-Corruption Bureau said in an affidavit filed in the High Court in December last year that no role of Pawar has been found in the ACB investigation.
