NEW DELHI, Jan. 25 -- During a protest against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), there has been an uproar over JNU student Sharjil Imam's statement that separating Assam from India. BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra claimed the video as Shaheen Bagh and claimed that a conspiracy was being hatched to smash India there.
On the other hand, Assam Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said that after taking cognizance of this anti-national statement of Shaheen Bagh chief organizer Sharjil, the government has decided to register a case against him.
