INDIA, Jan. 9 -- Indian captain Virat Kohli registered another huge milestone as he became the fastest skipper to reach 1000 runs in the T20I format. Coming in to bat at an unusual No. 4 position, Kohli was at his usual best as scored an unbeaten 17-ball 30 to help India secure 7-wicket win over Sri Lanka in the 2nd T20I at the Holkar Stadium in Indore. It was only his 30th innings as skipper that saw Kohli reach the 4-digit mark for the Indian team. New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson earlier held the record having reached the figure in 36 innings.
