New Delhi, Aug. 29 -- Britain's Foreign Minister said on Thursday that he had summoned the Russian ambassador to the UK following Russia's overnight missile and drone assault on Ukraine, which killed several people and damaged multiple buildings, including the British Council in Kyiv.
UK Foreign Minister David Lammy shared the development in a social media post, stating that the killing and destruction must come to an end.
"Putin's strikes last night killed civilians, destroyed homes and damaged buildings, including the British Council and EU Delegation in Kyiv," Lammy wrote on
"We have summoned the Russian Ambassador. The killing and destruction must stop," he added.
