New Delhi, Jan. 28 -- Two male tourists were declared dead after being brought to hospitals in Srinagar in separate incidents on Wednesday, officials said.

In the first case, a tourist was taken in an unconscious condition from a hotel near Dal Lake to SMHS Hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival. He was identified as Taranjit Singh, 41, son of Pushvandar Singh, a resident of Uttar Pradesh.

In a separate incident, another tourist staying at a hotel in the Hyderpora area was referred from JVC Bemina to SKIMS Soura after reportedly falling unconscious. Hospital officials said he was declared dead upon arrival.
