New Delhi, Sept. 11 -- The Ministry of Health and Population of Nepal has confirmed that the death toll from the September 8 protests led by Gen-Z demonstrators has risen to 30. According to the ministry, over one thousand people were injured during the nationwide protests. Of them, 713 have been discharged after treatment, while 55 were referred to other facilities.
A total of 253 patients remain under treatment. In all, 28 hospitals across the country are currently providing medical care to those injured. The Health Ministry said emergency services have been mobilised to handle the situation and hospitals have been instructed to remain on high alert.
