New Delhi, June 25 -- India's Olympic champion Neeraj Chopra continued his winning streak this season by claiming the men's javelin throw title at the 64th Ostrava Golden Spike athletics meet with a best effort of 85.29 metres.
Competing at this prestigious World Athletics Continental Tour Gold event for the first time, the 27-year-old star delivered his winning throw in the third round, holding off a strong field to secure his second international victory in less than a month.
Chopra's third-attempt mark proved unbeatable across all six rounds. South Africa's Douw Smit settled for second with 84.12 metres, while Grenadian thrower Anderson Peters took third with 83.63 metres in a tightly fought contest.
