New Delhi, June 28 -- The Indian women's cricket team is set to face England in the first T20I of the 5-match series on Saturday.
India will be keen to internalise the conditions and character of venues in England ahead of next year's World Cup.
The ICC showpiece is almost a year away, but this series is a perfect stepping stone after India's disappointing group-stage exit in the last edition.
Apart from the return of explosive opener Shafali Verma, India has added some new names, such as Kranti Goud, Sree Charani, and Sayali Satghare, to its squad.
