New Delhi, March 20 -- Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has won floor test as 20 MLAs voted in his favour in the state assembly on Wednesday while 15 MLAs voted against the BJP-led government.

Governor Mridula Sinha has convened a special session of the Assembly at 11:30 am for the government to prove its strength.

Mr Sawant was sworn-in as Goa Chief Minister late Monday night along with 11 cabinet ministers. He succeeded Manohar Parrikar who passed away on Sunday following a prolonged illness.
