New Delhi, July 14 -- External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar is in China on a two-day visit starting Monday. Soon after his arrival in Beijing, EAM Dr. Jaishankar met Chinese Vice President Han Zheng on Monday.

The EAM conveyed India's support for China's SCO Presidency and noted the improvement in bilateral ties. Dr. Jaishankar asserted that the bilateral relationship between India and China has been steadily improving since the meeting between Prime Minister Modi and President Xi Jinping in Kazan last October. He expressed confidence that the discussions during this visit would maintain that positive trajectory.
